Internet has become an integral part of life encompassing day-to-day activities and interactions of individuals, businesses, government agencies, hospitals, militaries, etc. A glitch in the internet system can jeopardize safety, security and integrity of the involved entities. The Consort Institute’s Cybersecurity program focuses on protecting the company’s infrastructures which are supported by internet. This course provides participants valuable insight about Cybersecurity. It covers what cybersecurity is, how important it is and how it can be implemented.

As a part of implementation, the course will discuss a framework consisting of a set of industry standards and best practices to help organizations manage cybersecurity risks. The resulting Framework addresses and manages cybersecurity risk in an efficacious and cost-effective way. It focuses on using business drivers to guide cybersecurity activities and considering cybersecurity risks as part of the organization’s risk management processes.

Prerequisite: A bachelor’s degree or 3 years of work experience.
